Happy new month, and welcome to the second half of the year.

I wanted to start this month’s letter by CELEBRATING YOU, especially because we just celebrated the MSME Day last week.

You know, sometimes there are no words to describe how much I admire you as a business owner. People always say that running a business is one of the hardest things to do (and the difficulty level in Nigeria is extra hard), but seeing you show up daily, push, grind, and fight against all odds is beyond admirable. I just want to say you’re amazing.

Q2 town hall was very insightful…did you attend?

As usual, we held our quarterly town hall at the end of last month. Like I always say, Bumpreneurs never hold back on telling us what they want, and it's amazing. You know, the team even kept asking me not to keep promising things; so if you don’t see updates on what you requested, hold Gift’s shirt tight.

Subscription prices are changing soon, but here’s what to do now

One of the things we discussed was a significant increase in our subscription prices for the Starter and Pro plans. We have put this off for quite a while to ensure we didn’t add to your stress, as everything was becoming more expensive for everyone in the country. We are finally here, but we will still try to make it easy for you by providing you with a window of opportunity to extend your subscription for up to 1 year at the current price.

We did not come up with this decision lightly, and we are ever committed to building useful tools to help you continue to manage and grow your business.

Massive new updates for managing your orders!

Yesterday, we released a massive new update tied to how you manage your orders and payments on the Bumpa app.

A major one is that payment now confirms order! This means that your inventory is now deducted only when a payment has been made for an order done on your website or created by you. You no longer have to delete or cancel unpaid orders, and your inventory update process will be much smoother and easier.

But we’ve also taken it a step further; in cases where multiple customers try to buy the same item at the same time (for example, when you’re running a sale), we will prioritise the orders on a first-come, first-served basis and if the orders you get surpass the number of items you have in stock, it will be flagged as "Attention Needed." This then allows you review the order, speak to the customer choose from some actions like refunding the excess items or entire order, or fulfilling the order.

An update on the upcoming Bumpa Pop-up

Another thing I’d love to share is that we decided to move our upcoming Pop-up and it’ll now happen on the 27th of July. We decided to do this for a couple of reasons, the most important being that we want the event to get the most visibility it can, get more amazing partners on board and make sure that our merchants get the best experience that day.

Whether you’re a vendor showcasing on that day or you’re just coming around to shop, I know you’re going to have a rocking time. And since the tickets are free, you can come along with your friends.
