How to Add Shipping Fees

• Know the delivery fee for each location you deliver to.

• Click on the More button on your mobile app. 

• Click on Shipping.

• Click on the Green + icon at the top of your screen.

• Add the location name eg: Lekki, Lagos, USA, PickUp at Store.

• Add the delivery fee for that specific location eg: 5000, 20,000, 0 (for PickUp).

• Add a description. In your description you can add how long it will take for delivery to happen and add any other relevant information. 

Examples of Delivery Description

• Delivery takes 2 - 4 working days,

• Pickup is between 10 am - 4 pm Monday - Friday. Address is No 16, Lagos Street. Please call 08100000 before coming for pickup.

• Orders above 2kg will attract extra delivery fee.

What the Shipping Section Looks Like on Some Bumpa Websites

NOTE

• To add Shipping, you will need to know the prices to different locations you’re delivering to, so that you can input it. 

• You can group locations together. E.g., put this as the Shipping Title: Gbagada, Magodo, Ogudu OR Ogun, Oyo State.

• Do not add any special characters like -, & to the price section.

• You can change, delete, or increase the delivery fee to any location at any point in time. 

How to Know The Prices of Different Locations. 

Are you new to business, and you need to know the delivery fee to different locations? Here’s what you can do: 

• Visit the website of a delivery provider that you trust, input each address/zone or area you want to deliver to, and get a price estimate to use for your delivery fee benchmark. 

Examples: 

• You can visit Fez website to get a delivery fee estimate here

• Use Shipbubble’s website to get delivery rates here

Then, add the prices and delivery locations to your Bumpa website.

Frequently Asked Questions

Question: Will Bumpa deliver my products for me? 

No. Bumpa will, however, help you collect the delivery address and contact details of your customers & also help you collect payment for the order and the delivery all at once.

Additionally, Bumpa has a partnership with Fez and Shipbubble that makes sure all your website orders from Bumpa automatically show up on Fez or Shipbubble, so that order fulfillment is easier and you do not have to be copying the order detials everytime.

Question: Does Bumpa allow international shipping/delivery? 

Yes, you can receive payment for international deliveries on your Bumpa website. All you have to do is add the location and price, so your customers can pay even if they are outside the country. 

Question: How do I do weighted shipping on Bumpa? 

At the moment, Bumpa cannot help you calculate the weight of the goods your customers purchase. What you can do at the moment is to add the location and kg fee to your website, then add the kg specification in the description.

For Example: This fee is calculated for 1kg and less. Please note that if your order is above 2kg, you will be required to pay extra delivery fee.

Question: Can I launch my website without adding Shipping fees? 

At the moment, no. What you can do is to add N0 for Pickup, so that your website qualifies for launch. 

Question: How does Free Shipping automation work? 

You can choose to give free shipping to your customers if they purchase up to a particular amount. For example, if you want buyers that buy up to N50,000 to get free shipping, you can automate that by using the Free Shipping feature on Bumpa (This feature is only available to Bumpreneurs on the Bumpa Pro and Growth plan) 

Question: How do I integrate my Fez or Shipbubble account to Bumpa? 

All you need to do is to copy the API key on the Shipping page and paste it on your Fez or Shipbubble account. Please note that this feature is only available to users on a subscription plan.
