Hi Bumpreneur!

It’s almost the end of June and another quarter of the year, and whew, it has been an interesting few months in the year.

You’ve survived the first half of this year, and even if there have been some times that weren’t so great, I need you to look at the times that were, and pat yourself on the back! Those successes? You achieved them!

And the times that weren’t so great? They’re lessons. We celebrate what’s been great, and learn from what hasn’t.

On Wrapping up Q2

On Wrapping up Q2

We. Made. It! The journey may not have been very easy, but we made it.

First of all, welcome back from the Eid holiday! It came at the perfect time; we got a break to relax, end the month feeling energised and start preparing for the second half of the year. For the team, it was great to get the much-needed rest and get pumped for the second half of the year.

A lot happened, especially on the app, in Q2. Even as I write this, there are so many fantastic updates being done by the team that I can’t wait to tell you about, and for you to try. Some of the ones people have loved so far are the new look for invoices & receipts, the website search feature, and the web app access!

If you haven’t checked out any of these updates, you should immediately.

Also in my journey to always connect with business owners in the Bumpa community, I had an amazing time with the CEO of Nineteenth Shoes, Peter, and he shared his amazing journey. Check it out here.

Don’t forget to share your wins with us here!

On what’s really “hot” in June

On what’s really “hot” in June

I mean, if you’re in Nigeria, then you know June hasn’t exactly been a hot month. But what’s actually been hot is the mid-year sales currently happening everywhere. Business owners are taking advantage of the middle of the year to take out old stock, attract new customers and gain some traction for their business. And I think you should be doing that for your business.

The great part of running sales with Bumpa is that we’ve actually upgraded some of the features for running sales to make it easier for you, and you don’t have to ask; I’ll be happy to share!

  1. You can now specify how many people can use your coupons and discounts! Campaigns like ‘First 50 People will get 50% off!’ will be so much easier to run.

  2. We’ve made it so much easier for your customers to leave reviews on your website by automatically sending them reminders after they shop. More reviews, more customers!

  3. You can now set how much your customers need to spend to qualify for free shipping, and your customers can see it too. This means a customer can decide more things on your website just to get free shipping.

The second great part is that you can always reach out to us for support if you need it, especially during this sales period. We are in this together.

One thing we worked on was to support NaijaBrandChick’s Lagos Tourism Tradefair - and it was a huge success. We supported in ensuring that some of the merchants setup their Bumpa stores and we connected them to a pseudo-marketplace: https://nbcfair.bumpa.shop and we saw the merchants running online sales in millions.

And finally, I’ll be hosting another town hall!

And finally, I’ll be hosting another town hall

The last town hall we had was a deeply insightful one, both for me and the team, and also for the business owners who attended. We decided to do one at the end of every quarter and the next one is happening this Thursday!

Think of it like therapy for us business owners where you can ask me anything, and where I’ll also demo new updates on Bumpa, help you see how you can use these tools we provide for your business and also discuss some of our upcoming pricing changes.

Let’s catch up! I’d really like for you to be there. If you fill out the form below, the team will send you details about the town hall.

I’ll leave you with this…

As a Bumpreneur, there’s always one feeling you should always have and that is that we’re always on your side, ready to support you with whatever you need. The success of your business is our success, and you should never forget that. We’re here, cheering you on all the way.

I’ll see you at the town hall on Thursday. Come with your questions; I’ll be expecting them!

Till then,

Kelvin Umechukwu,

Co-founder & CEO,

Bumpa.
